Why Join SLOSA?

The San Luis Obispo Soaring Association (SLOSA) is the local USHPA chapter serving the Central Coast. Your membership helps maintain access to world-class flying sites including Laguna Lake and Montana de Oro, and supports the establishment of new sites in the area.

Some sites require active SLOSA membership to fly due to insurance and site-use agreements with local government agencies.

1When does my membership expire?
Annual memberships expire one year from your signup date. Monthly memberships expire one month from your signup date.
2Do I need a USHPA membership to join SLOSA?
Yes, a valid USHPA membership or equivalent foreign certification is required to fly at SLOSA sanctioned sites.
3Can I fly SLOSA sites as a visiting pilot?
Some sites are open to visiting pilots, while others require active SLOSA membership due to insurance and site-use agreements with local government agencies. Check the Site Guide for details.
4How do I renew my membership?
Simply return to the Join page and complete the signup process again. You can also log into your membership account to manage your membership.
5What payment methods are accepted?
We accept PayPal and all major credit cards through our secure online payment system. You can also send a check to our mailing address. Make payable to SLOSA Treasurer. You will also need to include information like Pilot level, USHPA #, expiration date.
